Yesteryear Collection

This model of a Fowler B6 Showman's engine over 20 ft long and weighing 16,75 tons is powered by a two cylinder compound engine developing 75 hp with a maximum of 115 hp for short periods.

These giants of the fairground by means of the dynamo over the smoke box, generated the electricity to power the gallopers (roundabouts), organs and a variety of fairground rides. Between fairs these engines could haul three and at times four heavily laden trailers.

The original engine from which this model was created can be seen at The British Commercial Vehicle Museum in Leyland (near Preston), Lancashire, England. This Model is an exact replica of Fowler Showmans Engine, type B6DCC (Double Crank Compound) in authentic livery. Selected by request of Yesteryear Collectors around the World, the single production run of this unique model has been strictly limitied for this Special Edition and will not be repeated.
